The Vineyard and Grove
Located in a region that has quickly become one of the most significant viticulture areas in our country, this 26 acre vineyard is planted to ~ 22,000 vines of Rhone and Bordeaux varietals. The rows are spaced at 10 x 5 and 10 x 6 with vertical shoot positioning trellis’ and drip irrigation, while situated in a calcareous clay-lime silt stone soil. It is situated as nearly the highest vineyard on the east side of the river in the Templeton Gap and the vineyards are deer fenced and set up on drip irrigation. The largest planted varietal is Cabernet Sauvignon at 7.5 acres; there are 5 acres of Syrah, 4 acres of Merlot, 4 acres planted to Grenache and 5 acres of Viognier.
The vineyard includes 25 miles of vine netting and placement machinery, 15 fruit bins, a New Holland tractor with implements, an 8285 Crawler and a wheel tractor. Other equipment for maintaining the vineyard is available including a Ford 250 Truck, 2 ATV’s, large equipped workshop, storage loft and large machine storage shed. The fruit is under contract with highly acclaimed local producers and the seller is willing to provide a limited consultation service to the new owner in regards to farming nuances of the vineyard.
In addition, there is a 750 tree Olive grove planted on the property with the varietals Arbequina, Manzanilla, Mission and Coratina.
There are currently 400 olive trees under contract for sale over the next 3 years.
The Equestrian Center
This special and unique property is also an equestrian property that can accommodate the most prized thoroughbreds. There is a 4 stall barn and ~16,000 sq ft covered arena, as well as an additional 20 stall horse motel.
