Bear River Winery is situated above the vineyard, in a south, and southwest facing parabolic bowl of sunshine. Winery building features hundreds of feet of basalt, concrete and granite walls in the cellars and outdoor walls. Perimeter of winery and parking is paved. An outdoor, canopied, precipice lookoff with seating and tables for lunches, food pairings and wine tasting, overlooks the valley and vineyard. A seventy foot long basalt, dry stone wall elevates the outdoor area reminding visitors of another era.
